Custom 1950s Wall Mounted Modernist Writing Desk

About the Item

Unique handmade custom wall-mounted writing desk made in the 1950s. Solid birch construction with patinated brass accents and a smooth black laminate desk surface that folds up when not in use. Coiled brass-mounted on inside for holding envelopes or correspondence. Custom-made by local Southern California architect for his personal use at home. Excellent, all-original condition with expected wear from light use. Please refer to images. Overall dimensions when closed are 27.5" wide, 18" tall, 10" deep at bottom, 7" deep at top. Overall depth when open is 23". Actual black laminate desktop section is 16.5" deep, 26" wide.
