Swedish 1810s Painted Wood Clock Cupboard with Doors and Drawers

About the Item

A Swedish painted wood clock cabinet from the early 19th century, with distressed finish, doors and drawers. Created in Sweden during the early years of the 19th century, this painted cupboard features a molded cornice sitting above a lovely clock face secured behind glass and adorned with fruits, foliage and Roman numerals. The façade is made of doors that open to reveal inner shelves offering convenient storage space, as well as drawers. Raised on short tapering feet and painted in a soft color typical of the Scandinavian taste for light palettes, this clock cupboard circa 1810 will make for a great addition to any living room, kitchen or foyer.
