Diminutive Early 18th Century Georgian Walnut Highboy

About the Item

A rare highboy of diminutive proportions in walnut and mahogany with fine marquetry, feather banding, and cockbeading. The molded cornice is set on the upper case with canted and molded corners, containing five drawers. The lower case has three drawers with matching marquetry detail as above. The apron is scalloped, and pad feet support elongated cabriole legs. Rare for both its size, refined proportions, and lovely details, England, circa 1720.
