Antique French Louis XV Style Painted Commode Sauteuse

About the Item

Antique French Louis XV style commode sauteuse constructed of painted wood having a serpentine top over two drawers, circa 1920s. Carved, shaped apron raised on cabriole legs. This elegant chest of drawers, also referred to as a "jumping commode" because of its long legs and two large drawers features a central painted urn on the front and painted fleur de lis motifs on the sides. Original hardware. A wonderful color and great size. Dimensions: H - 35" W - 48" D - 19.5".
