Pair of Dorothy Draper Espana Cabinets for Heritage Henredon, circa 1955

About the Item

A pair of one-of-a-kind cabinets designed by Dorothy Draper (1889-1969) - America's most famous decorator - for her España line. After touring Spain for inspiration, Dorothy Draper produced her most sought after and iconic pieces: the España bunching chest and the España cabinet. The design is timeless. The cabinets can be refinished in any number of color variations, all of which highlight the magnificent etched swirl detail on the doors. The top of the cabinets are slate and incorporate a natural texture and beauty to the overall design. Price includes custom refinishing (please allow 4 to 6 weeks for refinishing time). These cabinets will most certainly add a layer of color and style into any space. Often placed as nightstands, end tables or entry pieces, the slate top is not only beautiful but durable and can stand placement of keys, other decorative objects, beverages, lamps, etc. without damage. Unique to this particular set, our cabinets also feature keys and whimsical tassels - as per the original design. Whether an experienced collector or designer - or simply an aficionado of beautiful furnishings - these cabinets will most certainly be noticed. Want to see more beautiful things?
