A Renaissance Revival cupboard or vaiselier in the style of Louis XIII from Brittany, France, circa 1890. In a richly dark, carved French oak with sliding doors in the center flanked by two hinged doors at either side, offering lots of storage. Open shelf on bottom is perfect for confit pots. There is the depiction of Christian symbolism carved into the center panels of the center doors with the monogram "IHS. A beautiful Danish Empire or Biedermeier chest in fine West Indies mahogany with four drawers of staggered heights. The handsome figuring of the grain is given added movement by the flat cut contiguous veneer moving horizontally across the front of the chest.. The sides also have a flat cut veneer in one piece that was at the intersection of the huge branch or fork in the tree showing the knot and the concentric circles of the grain radiating out from the knot. Chest offers a pedestal top and rests on turned front feet, with diamond-shaped inlaid satinwood key insets. The top and bottom drawers have sculpted fronts.
