The handsome figuring of the grain is given added movement by the flat cut contiguous veneer moving horizontally across the front of the chest.. The sides also have a flat cut veneer in one piece that was at the intersection of the huge branch or fork in the tree showing the knot and the concentric circles of the grain radiating out from the knot.
