Dassi Vittorio Walnut Italian Midcentury Cabinet Buffet, 1940

About the Item

Bar cabinet buffet by Vittorio Dassi, composed of precious materials, such as walnut wood, brass and glass. All veneered in walnut wood. Top in gold colored glass, recessed. Three front doors, which follow the movement of the top. The two sides are veneered in walnut, while the central one has only a veneered walnut frame with centrally a carved and worked panel. The sides are smooth and straight. Below there is an empty part, with a glass of the same color as the top, and a wavy movement on the backrest, in green and gold. When you open the central door a light comes on, which illuminates the entire interior, made of mirrors and with a glass shelf. While the inside of the two side doors is veneered in maple wood with a shelf, all well-polished. Finally the central foot has a brass edge at the bottom. Note the entire movement of the piece of furniture that is not flat but wavy. The Buffet has been restored respecting the canons of the period of construction of this. The expert craftsman of our interior workshop has been able to perfectly capture the type of restoration in the wooden part, maintaining the state but perfectly re-polishing the walnut wood. For each piece, before the departure, a revision is redone, to make sure it arrives in excellent condition.
