Alternating ladder-like shelves allow for books and objects of various sizes to co-exist in a waterfall arrangement. The unique silhouette and exquisite craftsmanship make Paso a stunning piece of functional furniture. Entirely made by hand in ecologically sourced American black walnut using traditional joinery techniques. This piece is built to last for generations and will only get better with age and use. Custom configurations upon request. This listing is for solid walnut. Customers can choose from ash, walnut, or white oak. All pieces feature a natural oil and wax finish. Casey Lurie is an independent designer based in Chicago. He apprenticed as a cabinet maker in Los Angeles before spending three years in Tokyo as designer-in-residence for Japanese furniture manufacturer Idée. In 2012 he established his design practice, Casey Lurie Studio, which integrates craft and industrial techniques to produce furniture and objects marked by thoughtful attention to detail, scale, and proportion. In addition to his studio production, Lurie works with like-minded manufacturers, architects, and interior designers to design and develop a wide range of projects.
