19th Century Napoleon III Tambour Door Bookcase
About the Item
An antique French tambour door bookcase, made of solid mahogany wood. It's made in France, at the the end of the Napoleon III period, 1860-1870. The lower part has tambour sliding doors. The cabinet is embelished with ormolu gilt bronze ornaments. The top part is open with two wooden shelfs, these are adjustable in any height and are removable, so using 1 instead of 2 is possible.

The cabinet has three aluminum painted panels with fishes. Created and signed and dated (1966) by Hubert Minnebo (Belgium, 1940). The cabinet has 3 doors. Left and right are glass sliding doors. The cabinet has onea key, which fits on all three doors. The condition is good, except for a few missing pieces of wood veneer. The video shows the veneer flaws.
