18th Century Dutch Oak Vitrine

About the Item

A spectacular early Dutch vitrine in polished oak. We believe this piece to be from delft, originally configured in the upper cabinet to display blue and white traditional delft porcelain. Now reconstructed for modern use. Newly painted blue interior echoes the original paint. Dome top with a beautifully carved cornice, specifically the small carved fleur-de-lis motif at each corner. More storage below with original non-adjustable shelving. This piece is an important example of early Dutch furniture making at its finest.
