Medieval - Tudor oak boarded / plank chest, Henry VII / Henry VIII period, English, circa 1480-1530. The plank lid with chamfered edges above a twin moulded, chip carved and chevron incised front panel with original twin locks, joined by bold arch shaped buttress ends, with scrolling front supports. The front and rear boards overlapping the buttress ends. Retaining all original wrought iron metalwork throughout.
