Pair of Restored Brown Leather circa 1860 Wingback Armchairs Claw and Ball Feet
About the Item
Wimbledon-Furniture is delighted to offer for sale this stunning pair of exceptionally heavy Victorian wingback armchairs restored with Heritage brown leather upholstery
These are a very nice pair indeed, the frame and legs are solid mahogany, very heavy, the legs have been expertly hand-carved and look amazing from every angle
The chairs were recently reupholstered with thick English heritage leather then hand dyed, the leather has a wonderful distressed patina, the base platforms are coil sprung as you would expect
In terms of the condition apart from one mark on one cushion they are in very good order, we have deep cleaned hand condition waxed and hand polished them from top to bottom
They can be stripped back and hand dyed a wonderful cigar or whisky brown colour for a fee, please look at my other items for fully restored pieces and you will see the colour or ask me for examples and I will send you links to other eBay listings

Condition
Please view the very detailed pictures as they form part of the description around condition
Please note vintage period and original items such as leather seating will always have natural patina in the form of cracking creasing and wear, we recommend regular waxing to ensure no moisture is lost, also hand dyed leather is not recommended to sit in direct sunlight for prolonged periods of time as it will dry out and fade.
