English Queen Anne Style Set of Four Walnut High Back Upholstered Side Chairs

About the Item

English Queen Anne style set of four walnut high back upholstered side chairs with original flame stitch upholstery (not perfect) in soft blues and corals. These circa 1900 chairs have hand carved cabriole legs and boldly turned H-stretchers, elegantly shaped seat rails and cresting back. They came from a home in the Cotswolds where they were used at a game table so they did not get the extreme wear that chairs get when they are used at a dining table; I am sure that is how the upholstery has survived so long. I have not changed the upholstery as it is still usable and could also serve as inspiration for reupholstery.
