1970s French Design Roneo Swivel Armchair
About the Item
Swivel office chair from the 1970s – 1980s that we owe to the famous house Ronéo: solid, high quality and comfortable it is composed of a star base metal allowing it to rotate and return to its place. Fixed in height, the seat (H47 cm / 50 cm / 46.5 cm deep) and the backrest are upholstered and furnished with red brick fabric. The French Neostyle Company was born in 1902. Originally, it was called Neostyl (English company) and specialized in the manufacture and marketing of stencil duplicators. In 1907, the French company Neostyl became the Roneo Company in order to manufacture and distribute also office furniture first wooden then quickly metal. At its peak in the 1960s Ronéo built a factory in the Oise putting an end to the wooden furniture. These activities have allowed the company to develop to become a reference in the world of office furniture. For proof Ronéotyper and Ronéoter (reproduce the Ronéo) are present in the dictionaries. In 1970, the company was sold to the English group Vickers. The Ronéo furniture remains one of the leading brands in Industrial furniture.
