Paul Leidersdorff for Cardo 'Caravelle' Lounge Chair in Red Leather

US$3,750

About

Paul Leidersdorff for Cado, 'Caravelle' lounge chair, leather, aluminum and wood, Denmark, 1960s Modern armchair created by Paul Leidersdorff for Cado. The slipper chair holds a L-shaped seating, moreover, this shape is repeated in the legs. A double L is mirrored to form the steel 'slipper.' This base is characteristic and provides an open character to the chair. The seat and back are upholstered with leather and the leather is tufted on every separate element including the armrests. These tufted leather cushions provide the sitter with great comfort and has beautiful patina. This lounge chair is therefore both aesthetically pleasing and functional. The chairs bare a great resemblance with the chairs by Preben Fabricius and Jørgen Kastholm.
