A lounge chair and ottoman or chaise lounge, designed by American designer John Risley. Risley's designs were produced at his Connecticut studio. He also worked as a sculptor and a professor of art at Wesleyan College in Connecticut. Other American studio designers of the era include George Nakashima, Paul Evans, Phil Powell, J.B. Blunk, and Sam Maloof.
