Set of Six Chairs by Carlo Hauner, Brazilian Design

About the Item

Designed in 1954 by Carlo Hauner for "Forma" rare dining chairs are made of caviuna wood and leather. The chairs were recently restored; wood structure and linen upholstery. Carlo Hauner and Martin Eisler are most known by well-shaped armchairs made in iron, but the production it's away more complex, handcrafted and extensive. The wood pieces produced by Forma Móveis e Objetos de Arte during 1950 in Brazil are highly designed and well-executed. Amazing construction details at the level of Joaquim Tenreiro, and very distinctive of any production of the time in Brazil. The piece was the first presented in the exhibition "Carlo Hauner, Martin Eisler and the modernization of furniture in Brazil" in MuBa. São Paulo, Brazil.
