About the Item
A rare pair of inlaid chairs by Enriqué Garcel, covered in their original grey leather upholstery, circa 1980. Like his contemporaries Karl Springer and Ron Seff, Enrique Garcel excelled at creating handcrafted pieces employing rich materials ranging from parchment to shagreen to bone, often employing, as in this example, unusual veneers and exotic materials in combination with resin. Four chairs total, sold in sets of two (2).

- Condition:Wear consistent with age and use. Very good, lightly used vintage condition. Several small scrapes to leather upholstery. No finish or veneer losses. One crack to resin finish near bottom of arm. Excellent structural condition.
