This sculptural armchair is designed 1958 by Helmut Magg for German manufacture Deutsche Werkstätten. The frame is made of oak, the seat and armrest in black leather. The model is DeWe 1172 A. This Magg Chair is very rare and hard to find in this original condition. One of the finest German Mid -century chair. As many designers in this era Helmut also was strongly inspired by the danish craftsmen and movement. The armchair has references to Jacob Kjaer UN armchair model B37
