Gio Ponti Ninfea Chairs for Brevetti Reguitti, Italy

About the Item

A rare pair of folding "Pieghevole Ninfea" chairs designed by Gio Ponti having wood frames, brass hinges and the original woven red upholstery. These chairs came in three different upholstery styles, woven wicker, leather and fabric produced in 1958 they retain the manufactures impressed markings to the frame by Brevetti Reguitti made in Italy providence Gio Ponti archive Milan Italy. These chairs were designed at the time he did the iconic Superleggera chairs with that super lightweight feel and look that the Ninfea chairs have.

    Refinished. Wear consistent with age and use. The fabric is in great original vintage condition with some slight wear from use ,the frame has been sympathetically restored as not to loose the feel of age and warmth .
