An exceptional example of an early George I / George II Gainsborough mahogany chair upholstered in a period 18th century needlework of rich colours showing birds in a landscape on the back and foliage detail on the arms and seat. With beautiful detail in excellent condition.
This chair has lovely fine scroll and acanthus detail.
