19th Century Pair of Italian Carved Walnut Armchairs
About the Item
An attractive pair of restored carved walnut armchairs, Italy, circa 19th century. Each chair features a curved crest rail, padded back and seat covered in a new sturdy cotton fabric and bronze nailhead trim. Two wooden open arms adorned with carved figural lion's heads terminals, flank the seat. Nicely scalloped shaped upholstered apron, the seats are raised on moulded cabriole legs resting on hoofed feet. With its elegant silhouette, finely carved details and lovely patina, these armchairs will bring a distinguished presence to any living room, bedroom or library.
