Danish Midcentury Armchair in Solid Oak
About the Item
Armchair, oak, blue fabric, Denmark, 1960s
This sculptural armchair has a slatted back and four circular legs. The armrests are executed with an angle in the middle and this is also the place were the back legs join the frame. The solid oak frame functions as a basket for the blue upholstered cushions. The use of a solid basket like frame and separate cushions is typical for design of midcentury design. This lovely chair shows traits of the furniture designs by Arne Vodder.
