We look for elusive connections and new interpretations - we find new meanings and tell a story. The fluidity of our designs allows for any change in colors, materials, the scale of a pattern, the size and shape of the final product. With every new color or a new weaving technique begins a new journey. Knot by knot. It feels like a meditation. And yet this very complex process of carpet-weaving requires extremely high-skilled level of craftsmanship. The pile height can vary. A knot of silk may be found right next to a knot of wool. A palette of colors is infinite. Katy Pititskaya a founder & creative director of Laroque St*. Katy is an interior and product designer based in Moscow and Milan. She graduated from Moscow Architectural University with a degree in Architecture and has received a master’s degree in Interior and Living Design under the mentorship of Patricia Urquiola, from the Domus Academy in Milan.
