Italian Wall-Mounted Bamboo Coat Rack, Mid-20th Century
About the Item
A large wall-mounted coat rack with nine hanging points. Mid-20th century, Italy. Unsigned, very much in the style of Olaf Von Bohr.
The frame and structure of the piece are of bent bamboo, bound with rattan; there are five large hanging points made of solid wood with four further hooks of bent cane. The piece is nicely made and in good vintage condition, with some wear in line with age and use, including a little twisting to the hanging pegs (see images for examples and overview).
Approximate dimensions: W 90cm x H 153.5cm x D 14.5cm
Each wooden hanging point is approximately 7.5cm wide.
