Stylish Mid-20th Century Made, Parisian Terrestrial Desk / Table Globe with Lamp

About the Item

Quality made, metal and glass desk globe on a wooden base. If you are looking for stylish and beautiful quality items to upgrade your interior (whether at home or in your office) then this Parisian globe could be ideal. Looking at a globe always reminds me of the miracle of life itself. Tiny beings that we are, we created 'our own' countries, but together we live on this earth, surrounded by water and floating in space. This particularly fine specimen in the Art Deco style is truly beautiful in design and the quality materials of which it is made combine perfectly well with each other. Apart from a few pieces of paper that are missing from the surface of the glass sphere, this highly stylish globe could not be in a better condition. This globe can be turned by hand, but it is also easily tilted, as you can see when you compare the angle of the earth in images 2 & 3. The wiring can still be used and the white bakelite switch is another stylish feature, but we can (at no extra cost) also rewire for safe and immediate usage in the USA as well. When purchased by an American client we will even attach an American power plug so that this vintage, made-in-Paris-globe can be used and enjoyed upon arrival. Mind you, our price includes perfect packing and also free worldwide delivery from our store to your door in just 4 days. Maximum height x diameter: 14.2 x 11.8 inches. Diameter of the nutwood color base: 7.7 inches. We have a passion for the unique, for quality, for stylish yet practical and for craftsmanship of years gone by. Your purchases will be extremely well packaged and we look forward to serving you (again). You can shop all our 1000+ listings by pushing the button that reads 'View All From Seller'.
