Large Terrestrial Library Globe

About the Item

30 inch diameter library globe featuring Oklahoma with Indian territory, circa 1890. Maker is Johnston, Edinburgh, Scotland, a renowned British globe producer. Mounted on ebonised turned leg Stand with cross stretchers featuring brass meridian and holder with hour ring. Condition as expected for age with several abrasions which add character to the globe. Horizon ring restored with correct replacement. Beautifully aged imposing centrepiece. This is the corrected version of this listing.
