19th Century Articulated Automaton Doll
About the Item
19th century articulated automaton doll
We are proud to offer a highly collectable and rare example of a late - 19th century English Folk Art, fully articulated hand carved wooden automaton doll figure. In the form of a small boy, this doll would have accompanied several similar figures that would have been part of an animated automaton display. With a support hole in its base, this item it would have been attached to a metal pole of sorts that would have moved up and down to animate the figure.
