American Art Deco Chrome Theater or Hotel Lobby Floor Ashtray by Royalchrome
US$1,100

About
This very elegant American Art Deco chrome floor-standing ashtray was produced by Royalchrome (a trademark of the Royal Metal Manufacturing Company of Chicago) primarily for use in theatre or hotel lobbies. The spherical knop and the top opens the double demilune trapdoor that drops the cigarette butts into a drum ash receiver that would have been filled with silica sand. The ringed lid to the drum is beautifully designed and, like the rest of the ashtray, is in wonderful condition and displays beautifully.
