Russian Fabergé Style Silver Gilt Table Thermometer
About the Item
The very fine table thermometer mounted in a silver-gilt frame and set with diamonds and rubies, featuring an oval shaped photograph surrounded by a band of diamonds above the thermometer, with pink guilloché enamel decoration and silver-gilt sphinx, with crown above and surmounted by a pair of love birds with easel backing with spurious hallmarks and fitted tooled leather case with velvet interior.
The extensive detailing in guilloché enamel on this table thermometer is of exceptional quality and gives a striking contrast to the gilt surround.
