Fassamano French Tortoise Antique Eyeglasses Second Half 19th Century

About the Item

Fassamano (from the French face-a-main) eyeglasses with handle that turns into a case shaped like the lenses; dark tortoise eyeglasses, oval lenses that when not used fall back inside the handle. French manufacture of the second half of the 19th century. Glasses width 11 x 2.5 cm, handle width 12.5 x 2.5 cm, thickness 0.5 cm. Very good condition. Shipping is insured by Lloyd's London; our gift box is free (look at the last picture).
