Wiener Werkstatte Beaded Bag Maria Likarz 'Attribution'

About the Item

Extraordinary and rare bag from the Wiener Werkstatte. Fine, bright red beads, abstract design with the kid leather lining. We are attributing our bag to Maria Likarz-Strauss, based on a very similar example in The Minneapolis Museum of Art. (See: Wiener Werkstatte 1903-1932 'The Luxury of Beauty' Ronald S. Lauder Neue Galerie, page 303).
