The museum was the private residence of Henry Francis du Pont from 1880-1969. Du Pont was a visionary collector who created the collection that spans two centuries of American decorative arts. It has more than 70,000 objects in 200 rooms and display areas. Beautifully photographed, the book showcases the Chinese Parlor, Montmorenci Stair Hall, du Pont Dining Room, Azalea Woods, and March Walk.
