Rare Antique French Goyard Wardrobe Steamer Trunk

About the Item

A large and impressive E. Goyard steamer trunk, Paris, France circa 1900. It features a dome shaped trunk case covered with Goyard signature chevron canvas and befitted with patinated locks. The steamer trunk opens to the original fitted interior with leather Goyard pulls accenting the six drawers, the original wood hangers, canvas shoe pouches and leather accessory holders, and all the original leather straps. The trunk stands on four casters for easy maneuver. It appears that the entire trunk is in original condition with all Goyard hardware and fitting. With its unusual dome shape, it is quite a stunning early example from the famed French trunk maker.

    Wear consistent with age and use. Minor fading. Solid with age commensurate patina, expected overall general surface wear on canvas and leather bindings as a used luggage piece. Interior mostly clean and a leather pull was reattached. Pls ask for more pics.
