1873 Enterprise MFG. Co No.2 Vintage Coffee Grinder Restored

Antique Enterprise Mfg Co coffee grinder / mill, circa 1876. It is one of the largest and heaviest of the counter top grinders, made for the country general stores and farmhouses. This double wheeled coffee grinder is made of cast iron and features American Bald Eagles stenciled to the urn shaped hopper at the top to pour in the coffee beans. A cast brass eagle finial decorates the top lid and it includes the rare original insert for catching the grounds. The Enterprise Manufacturing Company was rewarded for their efforts in producing such an attractive and functional coffee grinder, by being presented with the centennial medal for their invention and “contributions to the American people” by the United States Centennial Commission.
