New Orleans architecture vol. VII Jefferson City. Gretna: Pelican publishing company. First edition hardcover with dust jacket, 1989. 192 pp. Jefferson City, the seventh volume in series of books on New Orleans architecture. Jefferson City is an area of New Orleans designated as a historic district in the national register of historic places. International and national trends shaped the architecture of this part of the city to a greater degree than any other part of New Orleans. As in the six previous volumes a major portion of the work is devoted to an architectural inventory, a house-by-house documentation of structures built between 1850 and 1940. Hard to find and in great condition.
