A French giltwood mirror from the early 19th century, with carved crest depicting urn, foliage and garlands. Created in France during the first decade of the 19th century, this giltwood mirror attracts immediately our attention with its carved crest showcasing a joyous arrangement of foliage surrounding a central urn, while the sides are adorned with a falling garland. The mirror plate, showing signs of aging, is surrounded by symmetrically organized motifs while the ensemble is resting on petite feet. With its classical lines and golden finish, this French carved mirror circa 1800 will enliven any wall beautifully!
