18th Century Louis XIII Style Gilt Copper Mirror
About the Item
Louis XIII style gilt-copper and wood mirror, featuring an elevated rectangular mercury glass plate in an intricate foliage and scroll frame with mirrored borders, topped by a detachable crest of scrolled foliage and a frieze of berried grape leaves. The motifs were pressed onto copper sheets and applied onto a wooden frame which also holds the mirror panel.
