About the Item

Unusual, over 250 years old, museum-class object. Spectacular, formed in the peak phase of the Rokok, around 1750-1760, huge (almost 3 m high), palace free-standing console with a giant adjustable mirror. Photos can't even fractionally reflect the experience this console has in nature. Extremely rich woodcarving (numerous floral elements, flowers, etc.) in solid wood. Apotheosis and madness of the Rokoic ornament. Impressive triple rocaille crown, constituting an inseparable program whole. The central part – contains a dominant, classic rocaille element surrounded by flowers and glamorous floral elements. The side parts (flanking the central part of the crown) complement the dominant. Such solutions are found only in palace consoles of the highest class. Also noteworthy is the console's design (a great rarity!), an unusual countertop made of unparalleled, extremely impressive marble with an intense gray color with numerous white and reddish brown stimulants. Smooth, rounded, polished rant. Mirror pane – monolith (not optically divided by mullions). The front of the console and the connector of the "cross" stabilizing the legs of the console - decorated with beautiful, powerful elements rocaille, which constitute the development of the dominant (the crown of the mirror) and form an inseparable whole with it. A top-class, exceptionally glamorous and prestigious antique facility, derived from the equipment of a palatial villa near Naples.
