Pair of Large Table Lamps by RAAK 1970's Attributed to Nanny Still

About the Item

The RAAK table lamps are large, modern and of a simple design executed in aluminum, stainless steel and handmade glass, 1972 in The Netherlands. These lamps are attributed to the designer Nanny Still, one of the most famous designers at the celebrated design company RAAK, Amsterdam. There is a central round tubular aluminium column which houses a series of five aluminium rings. The three middle rings have handmade colored glass discs set into them. All five rings rotate can rotate in a 360 degrees circle. Hence can be placed at different angles, as well as move up and down the main vertical column. Each ring has two similar glass plates at its front and back. The result is cool, minimal, modern look typical for its time and contemporary today.
