Fog & Morup Art Deco Table Lamp 'The Fried Egg', 1930s

About the Item

Danish Art Deco table light manufactured by Fog and Mørup during the 1930s. Its made from patinated brass and features a single layered, partially painted glass shade that resembles a fried egg - hence its name. This design is similar to lamps from Poul Henningsen during the same era. Measurements: H: 41 cm, Diameter shade/base: 17/14 cm.

  • Condition:
    Wear consistent with age and use. Minor losses. The lamp has been electrically restored with a newer secure fitting and twin-wire. The top of the shade has some niks to its underside. Barely noticeable since its slightly recessed in to the main-shade. This top shows spots where the paint is worn.
