About the Item
The Domo lamp is based on Bigeleisen's fascination with the Pantheon and the idea of domed forms found in early and contemporary architecture. Hand painted, patterned surfaces pair with hand-dyed and knotted fringe shades to highlight the ephemeral and playful qualities of architectural compositions. Each piece is handmade to order with the highest quality archival materials. Design by Hannah Bigeleisen.

Steven Bukowski
Steven Bukowski designs functional and expressive furniture in New York City. His work explores the space between art and design, drawing heavily from his familial background in fabrication and craft. His rich understanding of form, color, materials, and manufacturing processes lends itself to a collection that is thoughtfully designed for a lifetime of use. Steven founded his Brooklyn-based design practice in 2016. In that same year he designed the bar seating for the renowned Flora Bar, located within the Met Breuer building. In 2017 he participated in the annual Sight Unseen OFFSITE exhibition and was named a recipient of the American Design Hot List Award. His work has been published in Domino Magazine, Architectural Digest, Wallpaper, and W Magazine to name a few.
