Antique Art Nouveau Figural Young Female Table Lamp with an Art Glass Shade

About the Item

This table lamp is completely unmarked but is presumed to have been made in Europe in approximately 1910 in the Art Nouveau period and style. The figural base of the lamp is a young woman wearing a flowing gown standing with outstretched arms that hold the shade in a slightly tilted position. The handmade art glass shade is a mix of colors with a crackle finish and slight lustre. The metal lamp base is composed of cast spelter which has been painted in a deep gold tone with a thick lacquer finish. The platform to the base is a polished black slate or marble. This table lamp has been re-wired, but is otherwise in completely original period condition.
