Pair of Late 19th Century Louis XVI Style French Giltwood Light Sconces
About the Item
This pair of hand-carved giltwood Louis XVI style sconces from the late 19th century features a central tapered column with twisted fluting supporting a bouquet of flowers in a woven basket. Garlands of leaves lead to two fluted arms while twisted ribbon and a lower finial of berries and leaves adorn the pediment. Recently rewired for electricity, this pair of sconces is ready for use, circa 1890.
