A rare adjustable floor lamp ‘3S’ in chrome-plated metal. Designed by Paolo Tilche in 1972 and produced by Sirrah, Bologna.
The large, chrome-plated metal counter weight keeps the long arm perfectly balanced in the tubular base. The two hemispherical shades on the other end of the arm can be adjusted to increase or decrease the flow of light.
Paolo Tilche began his career as an architect in 1950. He made numerous residential, industrial, and office designs, but one of his most acclaimed designs is the Hotel Raya in Panarea. Tilche was a member of the Associazione per il Disegno Industriale (ADI) and became better known for his Industrial and furniture designs and for the use of innovative shapes.
