The Five Bulb Gold Plated Murano Glass Floor Lamp by Matteo Cibic

US$3,542.80per item

About

The Five Bulb Gold Plated Murano Glass Floor Lamp by Matteo Cibic is a brilliant floor lamp. One summer, Matteo Cibic along with the founding duo of Scarlet Splendour, travelled through Italy. During their days spent within the Vicenza region, which is legendary for its ceramics, was found the first inspiration for the beautiful serpent song, known as Luce Naga, which so strikingly appears in the boundless forms. Finally, after nights of sleeplessness in which the art of applying 24-carat gold was perfected, the collection was completed with its essential element of Luce, or light, which shines through one of a kind hand blown Murano glass bulbs. Every inch of this collection is handcrafted in Italy and forms a single timeless piece of contemporary history, completed with almost decadent luxury. Care: Clean with dry soft cloth. Handle gently to avoid scratches. Please note: The Luce Naga collection may have slight variations in the ceramic and the hand blown glass. These are not imperfections but a testimony to the authentic artisanal production. Prices do not include VAT. VAT may be applied depending on the ship-to location.

About the Maker

Scarlet Splendour

Ashish Bajoria and Suman Kanodia founded Scarlet Splendour in 2014. The siblings grew up in Kolkata, India with a deep sense of appreciation for the aesthetic. They combined their mutual passion for design to form Scarlet Splendour, with a view to integrate their maximalist sensibilities and become, possibly, the first design editors in India. They set out to create trailblazing furniture, lighting, and rugs on the borders of classical and modern, whimsical and serious, and functional and dramatic. Scarlet Splendour has collaborated with international stores, press agencies, artists, and designers to transform and take local craftsmanship to global levels. The company heralds a blend of the cultures and transcends geographical boundaries to achieve the extraordinary in the design world. Scarlet Splendour was launched at Spazio Rossana Orlandi during the Milan Design Week 2015. Their debut collections were born out of the genius of Matteo Cibic from Vicenza, Italy. He has won the 2017 Elle Decor International Design Award in the Young Talent category. In addition to Matteo Cibic's designs, the Scarlet Splendour portfolio contains a range of work from Dario Contessotto, Mirco Colussi, and Nika Zupanc. Since Milan 2015, Scarlet Splendour has increased its collaborations with designers of international acclaim and has a formidable repertoire of design products. Scarlet Splendour combines its exquisite artistry with immaculate design to evoke decadence and timelessness.
