Christian Dell Bauhaus Chrome Metal Floor Standard Lamp 1930s Gooseneck Art Deco
About the Item
Rare Bauhaus flexible gooseneck standard floor lamp with tripod base designed by Christian Dell attribution and executed by Maquet, Germany around 1930s. Originally launched as medical lamp with infra-red lamp bulb it can be used as adjustable reading lamp with standard lamp bulb but also as uplighter with a still very modern look. Made of chromed brass metal, original rubber shock-mount feet with impressed company logo and bakelite lamp switch it stays in very good original vintage condition with typical minor characteristic wear consistent with age and use. It takes one E27 bulb to illuminate. Wiring and switch are perfect so all is fine working and ready to use. The height varies from 105 cm / 41.34 inches to maximum extended height 202 cm / 79.53 inches, the base diameter is 40 cm / 15.75 inches. It would perfectly fit in a very modern or as well as in a Bauhaus / Art Deco design interior. Please note that this is one of two offered standard lamps of the same model.
