Large Pair of Solid Brass and Glass Pendants, France, circa 1940s
About the Item
Very large and chic pair of rectangular, solid brass ceiling lights of superb quality. The fixtures are fitted with opaque glass bottoms, and can be used as either pendants or flush mounts. The lower brass part (which holds the glass) is hinged and can thus be opened to change the bulbs if the fixtures are being used as flush mounts.
The pendants still possess their original fluorescent tube sockets, but this can be adapted according to needs and preference.
The brass has been left "as found", and is slightly patinated. Could be polished up to a much shinier finish if desired.
