Early 1900s Gothic Revival Brass and Bronze Church Candle Chandelier / Pendant
About the Item
Practical size and great looking church sanctuary light.
The amount of work that went into creating this striking and practical size chandelier is almost unimaginable in this day and age. Before you can start to cast the individual segments of this chandelier, you have to first carve them out of wood or some other type of hard material. That alone can take weeks. From all the handcrafted parts that, together, make this chandelier, you must then make molds. All the molds must then be filled with, in this case, liquid bronze or brass. After that, all the surplus material from the castings must be removed and every single piece must be polished. Finally, all pieces must be fitted together through welding and by drilling screwthreads etc. I am sure you will understand why they don't make 'em like this anymore. It would cost a small fortune.
The overall design, the Gothic elements in this chandelier and the striking golden color make this light an absolute joy to own and look at. Apart from some minor imperfections (consistent with age and use) this practical size Gothic chandelier is in good condition and it is definitely ready for immediate usage. If you have a Gothic Style interior then this six candles chandelier will look great wherever you hang it. Thanks to the bronze hook atop the canopy, mounting this chandelier is child's play. She will look beautiful in the daytime, but especially with the candles burning this Gothic gem is extra special. Also, because the gilt shackles become truly golden (as shown in image 13).

You can reduce the height with 5.1 inches by removing one of the four large Gothic shackles.
