Chandelier in Hand-Hammered Aluminum by Jacques Jarrige "Fiori"

About the Item

Inspired by Karl Blossfeldt’s photographs of flora, this 10-light chandelier is cut from one sheet of aluminum, then twisted and hammered by hand without discarding any of the material. The work seems to be in movement, as if it were growing like roots or a tree, leaves on a plant. Each of the work in this Fiori series is unique and signed, fabricated by the artist. The chandelier brings life to a room while remaining unobtrusive. It can be customized to any height and diameter. Here presented in aluminum the Fiori chandelier can also be ordered in brass with either 10 or 7 candles. Jacques Jarrige is a contemporary sculptor who lives and works in Paris. He recently exhibited at the Venice ECC Biennale (Palazzo Mora), the Cathedral Church of Saint John the Divine, NY and at Valerie Goodman Gallery
